Summoning of the Priest’s Watcher.
When the Priest calls to first summon their Watcher, they must take great care that this untamed Spirit doesn’t rise up against the Priest, and for that reason a preliminary sacrifice must be made in a clean and new bowl with the Three Seals of Masshu from the Priests initiation.
i. Engraved bowl
ii. New Bread
iii. Pine Resin
iv. The grass Olieribos
v. Sigil engraved sword
The place of thy calling must be clean, and a double circle of flour drawn about thee. There should be no altar, but only the new bowl set on the ground. The bowl is engraved with a fine stylus and inside the sacrifices are burned with conjured fire. In the Priest’s hand is a sword engraved with the Sigil of The Watcher, which will be inhabited during each Calling of the Watcher. After the sacrifices are burned, the bowl is then called ‘Aga Mass Ssaratu’.
The bowl must be laid between the Circles, facing the Northeast. And thy vestments should be black, and thy cap black. And the sword must be at hand, but not yet in the ground. And it must be the Darkest hour of the Night. And there must be no light, save for the Aga Mass Ssaratu.
Then the conjuration of the Three Watcher’s is to be made;
“I conjure Thee by the Fire of Girra and by the lights of Shammash.
I call Thee here, before me, in visible shadow.
In beholdable Form, to Watch and Protect I whom summons you.
He who holds the final judgment, who’s toll can not be suppressed by even the Elder God’s themselves, whom no man hath seen, no geometer measureth, no wizard hath ever called.
I call thee here now!
In the name of the Covenant, Come and Rise up before me!”
This being said, at the words ‘RISE UP BEFORE ME’ the Sword must be thrust into the ground behind the Aga Mass Ssaratu with force. And The Watcher will appear for instructions to be made by the Priest
This invocation is to be made during the course of any Ceremony when it is necessary to summon the Watcher to preside over the Priest. The Aga Mass Ssaratu is no longer necessary, but the sword (or dagger) must always be present. Unless thou hast not made sacrifice to thine Watcher in the space of one moon, in which case a new Aga Mass Ssaratu must be made.
“He who holds the Final Judgment,
I call Thee here,
At this point the Watcher will surely come, and he cares not what he Watches; only that he obey the Priest. To allow the Watcher departure, the Priest must say the word Barra! And in not allowing the Watcher departure, he will devour thee. Such are the laws.
